Most of us, if we’re totally honest, would love to heave beautiful, radiant, perfect skin. Many of us spend a lot of time and money trying to achieve just that with limited success. Perhaps this is because there are a few things that nobody ever really seems to discuss when it comes to the most visible organ that is our skin. It’s time for that to change...
DIY face masks are really effective
A lot of people spend a lot of money buying expensive beauty products, including face masks that promise the earth, and although a great many of them do deliver, many of them do not. It’s a shame to waste so much money on such things when it is actually really easy to make very effective kin masks using simple ingredients like honey, yogurt, avocado, and coconut oil. It’s always worth trying these first before you go down the more chemical-laden face masks route.
How you eat can affect your skin
Another thing that isn’t highlighted quite as much as it should be is the effect the food you eat can have on your diet, Sure, we all know that sugar can be bad for the complexion, but did you know things like cooking oils and dairy have also been linked to acne? We spend so much time on lotions and potions when we could just be eating better to get the same results! Of course, if you have bad acne, you may need to try a professional acne treatment alongside a healthier diet that’s rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, but doing one without the other doesn’t make much sense.
Plump skin comes from within
In a similar vein, it’s worth noting, that no matter how many plumping products you try, you’ll never look as fresh-faced and youthful as you would like if you aren’t also drinking plenty of water and getting all of the essential vitamins and minerals in your diet. Water hydrates, which plumps and smooths the skin, so be sure to get enough of it each day or your poor skin will suffer.
Exfoliating too often can be bad
Exfoliating regularly is essentiwl because it removes dull dead skin, allowing new, fresh cells to shine through, but most people only really need to exfoliate once or twice a week. Exfoliating more often can damage the skin and cause redness or dry patches, which is exactly what you don’t want to happen.
You should moisturize when your pores are open
If you don’t moisturize when your pores are open, after a hot bath or shower, for example, you simply aren’t doing it right. You see, when your pores are open, more of the product can get in under your skin and work its magic at a deeper levels, whereas, if they are closed, it will simply stay onj the surface where it will not have much of an effect at all. Don’t have time to shower? Place a hot towel over your face for a few minuted before applying your favorite product.
Know you’re in the know, you can truly achieve your best skin ever.
