Manchester Cathedral
I have been so lucky to be able to travel so many places, we've recently been to London a couple of times and we went to Manchester not that long ago. I absolutely love going to new places and seeing new things. It's so easy to just jump in the car and travel to somewhere new and see new things. We really like to take advantage of our days off and jump in our little
Chevrolet Matiz, even if it's just for a few hours and we do some shopping, we recently went to Derby as they have a big shopping center and we wanted to check it out. I loved going to Manchester, they have a really cool shopping center and lots of things to do. I love going to Stratford Upon Avon, it's not too far from Birmingham and there's so much to do! I love visiting the Butterfly Farm and walking along the River in the sun. One of the most important things to do if your going on a long journey is making sure your car is up to the journey. If your car is used to running round town driving you to work and back a long journey without checking your car for worn tyres or low water can cause some problems once your on the road. If your on the motorway breaking down can be really dangerous as you may not be able to make it to the hard shoulder and also expensive, if you don't have breakdown cover a recovery truck can cost a lot of money which you may not have budgeted for. Having defective tyres can also result in a hefty fine, driving with defected tyres could cost you up to £2500 and 3 points on your license, as a new driver 3 points is loads!! . If you are going on a long journey I'd recommend having your tyres checked out, even if it's just for your peace of mind, they might be fine but it's worth making sure your car is safe. My local
Point S center in Birmingham is literally just around the corner and they have centers all over the UK, you can even order your tyres online so you know they will have them in stock. They also have loads of information over on the their website so you can find out more about tyres how to check your own tyres and how to change your own tyres if like me you haven't got a clue.
I have actually been a passenger in a car that broke down on the motorway, one of the tyres blew out on the motorway and the person driving managed to pull over onto the hard shoulder safetly however
we were waiting for a breakdown truck for a long time as he didn't have the right tools to get his tyre off on the roadside, it was really scary and can be really dangerous waiting on the side of a dark road.
The type of alloy he had actually required a specialist tool to get the tyre off which the breakdown man that came to recover us didn't have, we were along way from home so he recovered the car and took us to a nearby hotel where we were able to park the car, to recover the car back to Birmingham was going to be really expensive so we actually had to get a train home which cost us alot of money and then he managed to get the right tool and sort the tyre out himself the next day. It meant we had to get a train home and pay for parking and the recovery truck to the hotel. We had been to Thorp Park and was so so tired, we had to travel for over 2 hours on a train to get home.
Here's a few photos of our trips in the UK, where do you like to travel too?
We stayed in a lovely cottage in wales
Day trip to Weston
